CAMPUS
PARENT
CENTER
Beyond textbooks, beyond classrooms. Uncover a wealth of resources tailored to support you family.
The Parent Center welcomes all our families to get involved! Parent and caregiver involvement is directly linked to student success. That’s why we believe in establishing strong communication between home and school.
Here are a few ways you can be part of your child’s education and receive participation hours:
Workshops:
Our Parent Center has some new as well as returning workshops scheduled throughout the school year! All workshops are FREE, and they’re focused on you and your child’s growth.
Teacher Assistance:
Be proactive and let your teacher know that they can count on you for any take-home project assistance. Parents can help out with cutting, gluing, sorting, and much more!
School Events:
Please always plan to be at: Orientation, Back 2 School Night, Coffee With The Principal, and Celebrations. When Parent-Teacher Conferences come around, please make sure to schedule your conference.
Parent committees:
Interested in getting more involved in the decision-making process at our school? We have two parent committees, the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) and the School Site Council (SSC). Please contact our Parent Center Liaison Mrs. Chavez [email protected] for more info on how to get involved. If you are not able to attend meetings and would like to know what’s being discussed, our meeting agendas are always posted below.
Coffee with the Principal:
Coffee with the Principal is an opportunity to get to know our school Principal and allow them to get to know you and the families of our beautiful community. Meeting agendas are always available below.
Bullying & Harassment Prevention:
NASA is committed to providing a safe and civil learning and working environment. NASA takes a strong position against bullying, hazing, or any behavior that infringes on the safety or well-being of students, employees, or any other persons within the charter’s jurisdiction. NASA prohibits retaliation against anyone who files a complaint or participates in the complaint investigation process. For more family resources about Bullying, please download our anti-bullying kit. (Needs to be branded; DSG will update soon)
Parent Donations:
Donations are extremely appreciated and count towards your hours. You can donate items such as classroom supplies, used uniforms that are in good condition, individually wrapped snacks for classroom birthday celebrations, and more!
