At NASA, art is more than a class – it’s a launchpad for creativity, growth and self-expression! We inspire artisistic potential in students of all ages.

Visual Arts, Performance and Music

The arts are essential for the holistic development of every child.

At N.E.W. Academy of Science and Art, visual arts, performing arts, and music are essential for self-expression and personal growth. Our students creatively express themselves, take ownership of their space, and develop presentation skills through engaging with a supportive audience. We integrate high-quality art instruction into the curriculum, which fosters creativity, enhances cognitive skills, and promotes emotional expression. This approach supports academic achievement, improves focus and discipline, and builds social skills and confidence, while also exposing students to diverse cultures and contributing to their overall development.

Our school proudly participates in the Artists-in-Classroom (AIC) program, bringing professional artists directly into our classrooms to lead enriching lessons in visual and performing arts for all students. This collaborative program involves our Principal, school administrators, classroom teachers, and the visiting Artist-Teachers. Together, they design sustained, in-depth art experiences that go beyond a one-time workshop. Participating in the AIC program is a unique opportunity for your child to develop their artistic talents, expand their knowledge, and embrace the creative spirit.
